Best Newcomer: Leigham Well, Streatham
Rachel Street and Andrew Britten-Austen
The Leigham Arms, as it was previously known, was the publicans, Rachel and Andrew's, local however they rarely drank there but felt the pub had enormous potential.
They worked collaboratively with Ei Publican Partnerships to take on a number of training courses before taking the pub on, putting them in the best place possible to get off to a flying start.
The pair joined local pub-watch meetings to establish a network of like-minded individuals who are able to offer help, support and ideas and used their skills and knowledge from previous jobs to work with meticulous professionalism which they say has kept them on their toes!
