Best Sports Venue

The Directors Box was launched just over a year ago. The concept being, ‘hospitality during watching sports’, the team's aim was to create a sports bar with a high end feel, (something they believed was lacking in the area) and they are proud to say that they achieved their goal.

Decorated with cosy leather booths, and sporty yet tasteful décor, the main attraction is the 4K and HD tv screens, all showing the latest live sporting events from across the globe.

Adrian Emmett

The Lion in Treorchy has two Sky boxes with the full Sky package, racing channels and BT Sport. They have 11 TV’s and a large projector, any one of which can independently show a different channel.

This award was open to all pubs for whom sport is a key part of their retail offer and site success. We wanted to reward and showcase pubs that go the extra mile to cater for their sports mad customers, whether that’s through hosting their local sports teams or providing a great atmosphere for watching matches.
